It’s an honor to be part of a family’s journey, from weddings to maternity photos. Nathalie, Nadim, and I spent a beautiful, unusually warm afternoon at Baker Beach, San Francisco. They’ll be wonderful parents, and I’m so happy for them.
Brooke and Nathan's Wedding
Photographing Brooke and Nathan’s wedding at the end of April was a joy. They met in college and surrounded themselves with friends and family to celebrate. The day was perfect, with a morning ceremony followed by a beautiful lunch.
I had previously accompanied them to Yosemite for their engagement photos—a day-long adventure that allowed us to get to know each other really well. Capturing their wedding felt like a beautiful completion of our journey together.
Dan and Dana's Family
I absolutely adore photographing families year after year. It's a true privilege to witness their love and see how the children are growing. Recently, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Dan and Dana, who invited me to capture the joy of welcoming their newest addition.
Spending an early morning at their home was a delight, as I immersed myself in their family's love and had the precious opportunity to hold their newborn. I sincerely hope they are doing well and will consider having me back again next year to capture more beautiful moments.
The Lamb Family, The Sea Ranch, August 2023
The Lamb Family at The Sea Ranch
When the Lamb Family reached out to me to capture family photos as a gift for their parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary, I was absolutely thrilled. The Sea Ranch holds a special place in my heart—it's one of my favorite spots in California, and I often dream about making it my home one day.
We met up in the summer, and I vividly remember the excitement as I made my way to our meeting spot and caught sight of six foxes along the way! Our photo session took place at Walk On Beach and the nearby coastal trail, with a lively 3-year-old leading the way for much of the shoot. As any parent knows, when a toddler is involved, their world becomes the stage, and we all just play our part.
The Lamb family was wonderful to work with, and I was thrilled when they graciously allowed me to feature one of the images from our session in an advertisement I placed in the Spring issue of The Sea Ranch magazine, Soundings!

Rileigh and Dom, January 5, 2024
Rileigh and Dom's San Francisco City Hall Wedding
Rileigh and Dom’s SF City Hall wedding on January 5 kicked off the 2024 wedding season with a burst of love. Rileigh rocked her puff sleeves and silver shoes, while Dom looked dashing in his classic suit. I loved both of their families, especially Dom’s Grandma Mary, who made us all laugh the entire time.
The photos capture all the love and happiness shared by everyone present. Here's to Rileigh and Dom, hoping their journey ahead is filled with endless love and joy.

Kirsten and Brad, SF City Hall, November 24, 2023
Kirsten and Brad's SF City Hall Wedding (The Family Edition)
You might recognize Kirsten and Brad from this website—twice, in fact! I first had the pleasure of photographing them during their intimate SF City Hall wedding, and then again at their grand celebration in November.
Planning their event was a journey we embarked on together, especially after the need to reschedule due to the Asian Pacific conference (remember that?). Despite the hiccup, their wedding day finally arrived, falling on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. Kirsten and Brad had the entire SF City Hall to themselves, a sight I'd never witnessed before, and it was absolutely breathtaking.
The presence of both families added to the warmth of the occasion, and having my sister Kaitlin as my assistant made it feel like a true family affair.
Here's to wishing Kirsten and Brad all the happiness as they navigate life in Washington. I'm excited to see where their journey takes them next.

Brittany and Kaye
I recently had the privilege of spending a beautiful afternoon with Brittany and Kaye in an beautiful redwood grove near Occidental, California. We first met a year ago at a wedding we all attended, and I discovered that they had never taken photos together as a couple. After months of planning and anticipation, (Brittany is a lineman for PG&E and California has had some wild weather this year!) the day finally arrived. Thank you, Brittany and Kaye, for allowing me to be part of your incredible journey.
Kirsten and Brad's San Francisco City Hall Wedding
On a beautiful April morning, Kirsten and Brad tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. Surrounded by two close friends and Kirsten's younger sister, the couple exchanged vows in a setting that was both grand and intimate.
Matching casual outfits with green tennis shoes set the tone for a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and the photos beautifully reflected the joy and love shared on this special day.
While they will be having a larger wedding in November, this early morning ceremony was a wonderful opportunity for Kirsten and Brad to celebrate their love in a more intimate setting. I wish them all the happiness in the world as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together.
Sam and Dave's St. Francis Intimate Wedding Reception
I had the pleasure of photographing Sam and Dave's small and intimate wedding reception in their hotel suite. The reception was filled with delicious catered food and a beautiful cake, but what made the event truly special is the incredible love between them.
I first met Sam through my photography work with DiPietro Todd, and he has always been a supportive presence in my life. Being able to witness and capture the love between him and Dave was truly beautiful, and I felt honored to be a part of their special day.
Despite the small size of the reception, the love and connection between Sam and Dave shone brightly, and it was a joy to capture every moment of their celebration. I wish them all the happiness in the world as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together.
Sarah-Ray and Liam Portland Wedding
In March, I had the opportunity to fly to Portland and photograph Sarah-Ray and Liam's small and intimate wedding at the beautiful Opal 28 venue. The wedding was particularly special for me because Sarah-Ray is the sister of my long-time friend and collaborator, musician Emma Ruth Rundle. It was Emma's gift to her sister, which made the whole experience even more meaningful.
As a photographer, I always strive to capture the unique essence of each wedding, and Sarah-Ray and Liam's was no exception. The intimacy of the event allowed me to really focus on the emotions and connections between the couple and their loved ones, resulting in some truly beautiful and heartfelt images.
Overall, it was an honor to be a part of Sarah-Ray and Liam's special day, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to capture their love and connection in a way that they will cherish for years to come. Thank you to Emma for bringing me on board and allowing me to be a part of this beautiful celebration!
The Knot Best of 2023
Thanks to all of my 2022 couples for the kind words, The Knot made me one of their “Best of Weddings 2023”.
Katie and Michael City Hall Wedding
Katie and Michael are beautiful people who are also expecting a baby boy soon! I can feel their happiness in these photos, plus it was the morning in City Hall and barely anyone was there. It felt like such a gift to have the place practically to ourselves! This was my final wedding of 2022 and a great one to end the year with. Congratulations you two!
“Kristin was great to work with from Day 1! She was very responsive, gave great guidance for the event flow and made sure we felt comfortable during our City Hall Wedding. Kristin ensured we captured all of the moments possible to remember our special day and we highly recommend working with her!” -Katie and Michael
The Simms Family
This is the third photo session I’ve had the pleasure of doing with Sandra and Summer, as you can see they both radiate. Summer is six this year and has lost her front teeth! It’s always hard to leave these sessions, they both make me feel so warm.
The Balakrishnan Family
I had such a good time running around Montara Beach with The Balakrishnan Family! (I think I’m becoming a 2 year old photography expert!)
Christopher and Lexy Wed
This was a special one for me because the groom, Christopher is my cousin and I am so happy that him and Lexy found each other. It was a wonderful day photographing their families celebrating with them in the beautiful redwoods of The Russian River.
I love capturing love
Recently I’ve had the pleasure to spend time with and photograph some cute families and kids. There seems to be a theme that all the families have two year olds. When taking photographs of two year olds, you never know what mood they are going to be in and what they will do! (From top to bottom: The Reynolds Family, The Morse and Lautz Family, and The Kaser Family).
Amy and Salvador City Hall Wedding
On a beautiful August afternoon, Amy and Salvador married at San Francisco City Hall. I’ve known Amy for over a decade now, so this felt really special to me. After the ceremony we all had a fancy cocktail at Absinthe and then took more photos in a redwood grove at Golden Gate Park, it was a perfect day for love and friends.
Update: 10/24/22 Amy left me this beautiful review, thank you Amy and Salvador!
“Kristin was such a joy to work with! She worked with us in advance to determine the shot list and locations so that everything was mapped out and we were not having to make these decisions the day of the wedding.
The day of the wedding, she made us feel extremely comfortable, when our nerves were running high. She helped us navigate City Hall, and was able to capture some wonderfully candid photos before the wedding. After the wedding, she worked with us and our family on locations, posing, and learning to relax in front of the camera, which was really helpful. It really helped us to be in the moment.
Her personality is also warm, friendly, and enthusiastic — making the overall experience extremely positive. The whole experience was very easy-going and we never got the sense of being rushed. She was also very quick to get us the photos after the wedding. Needless to say, we are very happy with photos and moments she was able to capture.”
Viveca and Evan Wed
It was such a pleasure to be in The Sea Ranch capturing Viveca and Evan’s love. They also wrote us the most beautiful review, thank you Viveca and Evan!
“Kristin is just amazing. We were so lucky to have her photograph both our engagement shoot and our wedding, and we now have the most incredible selection of photos capturing the memories of our beautiful day. The photos really speak for themselves, but she is also so easy breezy to work with, full of creative ideas for shots and just a lovely person. It's clear that she loves what she does, as does her wonderful sister Kaitlin who assisted with the photography on our big day. Some comments from family and friends on our wedding photos:
"Wow Viveca these are so beautiful!!! I especially love all of the ones of you and Evan out on the bluff by the ocean. Kristin did such a good job and you guys look so great and happy."
"Beautiful, beautiful beautiful - Kristin really did a great job."
"Your photos are beautiful! Wow! What a great photographer."
"Those are absolutely spectacular."
Joe and Matt Wed
I was ecstatic to photograph Joe and Matt’s rescheduled (twice) wedding this last weekend in Oakland. I used to work with Joe and it was my honor to photograph his and Matt’s day and celebrate my first time photographing an LGBTQI+ wedding! Congratulations Joe and Matt, here is to many years of love and dancing!
Kelsey and Chris Wed
Kelsey and Chris are wonderful humans and I’m so glad that I was able to capture their love this past weekend in The Russian River. We had Redwood Trees and so much love, what more can a photographer ask for?
